santa monica bound

In just a few days, I will be headed to Santa Monica for a week! I could not be more excited to relax and stroll around sunny California after a crazy month. I suspect I’m a California girl at heart.

We have a few things set up, but I would love to hear any suggestions you have if you’ve been to or live in the area.

We love to eat and cocktail more than anything, but I definitely want to check out the locals-only spots, visit boutiques and anything fashion related, speakeasies, art galleries, spas, crepes, gorge skylines, photo ops, interior design + decor inspiration and anything else Santa Monica fab + L.A. amazing.

Excited to hear any ideas and suggestions you have! xoxoc

  1. I think I sent you a list of 10 things (some are just ‘have to do once) like have a Drink at the BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL (so much Hollywood History), walk dow RODEO DRIVE a la Pretty Woman, Do the Hollywood Walk of Fame that covers 15 blocks Hollywood Blvd to Vine St, passing Grauman’s Chinese Theater- oh so hollywood stuff …and you can always hike up to the Hollywood Sign if you are feeling athletic after a coupe of drink ha :) If nothing else, you have miles of beach in Santa Monica and restaurants/bars all within walking distance. Well, I could talk about this for hours but I’ll stop here~~

  2. The Santa Monica Pier, though touristy, should be done once. I actually like the beachfront trail/path/pedestrian road/whatevs that runs through there for miles. If you’re feeling adventurous, venture down to Venice Beach and the famous yet cheesy Muscle Beach. Venice is an experience in and of itself, and is worth checking out for “interesting” people watching. The trail in Santa Monica makes for some fantastic morning sunrise walks or romantic evening sunset walks. I wish I could recommend restaurant/cocktail places but there are so many… plus please see the FB pic of me with a blue drink the size of a small child to discover why I can’t remember the names of restaurants/drink establishments there.
