always be better

A year from now, you will wish you had started today. – Karen Lamb

These words are genius. I remember seeing this photo a few months ago and stopping in my tracks.

I initially thought this was the best inspiration for health and fitness I had ever seen. But, in looking at it again today, it can have meaning with any goal in any area of your life. Time goes by so quickly that it will be September 2013 in the blink of an eye. And who will you be then? How will you have changed and become better one year from today?

The fact that you can continue to change, grow, and become a better version of yourself each and every day is inspiring. It is a simple choice to stay the same or make small changes to improve. Small changes add up to huge personal gains.

What do you want to accomplish? Who do you want to be in a year? Whatever the thing is that you want to be, just do it. And, you don’t need to wait a year to see results. You can start the transformation today with a simple change of mind, no matter how large or small your goals. Forget about New Year’s Day. Start now.

What can you be tomorrow, in one week, in a month, in six months, and in one year from now? The potential is limitless. Be the woman or man you want to be. Start now and see what happens. Keep growing, always. Always be yourself, but never stay the same.

If you’re feeling adventurous, share your goals in the comments section. Would love to hear from you. Have a fabulous and inspired weekend. Life is short, life is yours. Be fearless.

{p.s. Welcome to the Wellness section of Channingosity! Health goes hand in hand with wellness and reflection. I look forward to writing more posts like this for you and for me. xoxo}

  1. Chan, I love this. Straight up.
    One goal of mine (which you’ve been a wonderful inspiration for) is to get my own website/blog up and running. I’ve had a few test runs so far, but really want to make it a regular thing like you have. And not just the blog, but the design portfolio side, which I’ve been meaning to get around to for LITERALLY my entire professional career of 10+ years. I look forward to looking back in a year and being glad I started today. (Well, this weekend, anyway!)

    BTW, I’m sharing this post on Facebook.

    Happy Friday!

    1. Thanks Ty! You are so talented {as a chef and a designer!} and I always look out for your next tasty post! Good luck on getting the Portfolio section moving as well! Start small and it will become a regular thing in no time. Cheers!

  2. I totally agree with this statement; the more we procrastinate about doing something, and as times goes on, we will regret not starting it sooner–or at all!

  3. “no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should “…..
    I’ve always believed . It made all the good and not so good feel like what was happening would eventually make sense even if at times it didnt seem to be going in the direction I wanted. It turned out to be so true and continues to be. The key was to have faith in the process.
