There are certain essentials that must be splurged on. Don’t get me wrong, I am all about a fab beauty bargain. But, some things have no substitute and I simply must have them. Everyone has their own tasty indulgences and here are a few of mine.
My very first luxury product discovery was Chanel gentle biphase eye makeup remover. I’ve been using this for about ten years and it’s pure magic. I’ve tried other brands since and this is the only one that doesn’t irritate my eyes. I love this because it feels hydrating and silky when I use it. It contains water cornflower extract and water rose extract ingredients to soothe skin. Find it here.
Laura Mercier ‘Full Blown Volume’ Lash Building Mascara. This is a new upgrade-splurge and I love it. I’ve always been a L’Oreal girl, but a sample from Sephora totally changed my mind. The Full Blown Volume creates perfectly separated lashes that are long, thick and luscious. So, I splurged on the full size and haven’t looked back. Pure joy. Find it here.
Number 4 Lumiere d’hiver Reconstructing Masque. With my intense salon routine, I need a serious deep treatment once a week. I’ve tried countless masks, but none were truly amazing until I tried a sample of the N4 from my October Birchbox. My hair was ultra silky after leaving in for 15 minutes and the product is so concentrated that I never have to use a lot. I splurged on the full size masque and it was totally worth it for healthy hair. Find it here.
NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Brumes. The charcoal in this duo is seriously rich, lush and velvety. I have so many brands of charcoals and smoky eye palettes to choose from, but this is my go-to smooth charcoal perfection. The consistency is delicious and the color is long lasting. Find it here.
Kiehl’s Creme de Corps. This is a must have for me during the winter months for my super parched skin. It’s a luscious, delicious, rich cream for ultra hydration. I buy a full 1 liter pump bottle each fall and it lasts through early summer. As a go-to moisturizer splurge, this is truly *the one*. Find it here.
Pureology ColourStylist Strengthening Control Zero Dulling Hairspray. I love doing a quick chignon for work and need a strong hairspray to keep it under control all day – I have very thick hair and a lot of it. I had always used the drugstore basics like Pantene until I received this in a Birchbox. It’s made for color treated hair and can easily be brushed out for re-styling the next day. It smells utterly scrumptious, is light weight, has a strong hold and a nice shine after finishing. Perfecto. Find it here.
